We are the national HomeBuy Agent for English Partnerships – English Partnerships provides funding to deliver homes in the First Time Buyer Initiative (FTBI) programme.
The programme aims to give more people the opportunity to own their own homes by increasing the supply of affordable housing for sale. It is a ‘split-contribution’ scheme that aims to help eligible first time buyers to buy homes with affordable mortgages and with help from English Partnerships. You must take out a mortgage for at least half of the value of the property and English Partnerships will give you financial help (through making a payment to the house builder) for the rest. You will own all the legal rights to your home from the first day of ownership.
After living in your home for three years, you will pay a fee to English Partnerships. We will collect the fee from you on behalf of English Partnerships. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the contribution they made towards the original purchase price of your home.
We will be responsible for all transactions associated with your home. This will include:
- handling any questions you have;
- managing information;
- collecting your repayments; and
- collecting fees.
